I have high blood pressure and recently was started on a medication. Now
I have observed that I am unable to have an erection and my wife appears very
upset. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately, there are many blood pressure medications that will
decrease the ability to have an erection. The specific drugs are the beta
blockers. You may ask your doctor to change the class of drugs and see if that
will help. In your case, even taking Viagra will not help. The beta blockers
relax the blood vessels and this cannot be reversed with any erection pill. I
would suggest asking your doctor for a water pill- they do not affect erections
to a significant extent. In the meantime, I would suggest you buy a sex toy to pleasure your
wife.
