No, there
is nothing you take but you sure can abstain from sex for a few days. When you have an active
herpetic lesion, the chances of transmission are very high. Your girlfriend
will not be happy if you give her this “great” present. There are anti-herpes medications but they do not prevent transmission of the virus.
